Ajax win a 7 goal thriller

Ajax Cape Town beat Black Leopards 4-3 at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Urban Warriors looked sharp in the opening minutes of the game and with just three minutes on the clock, Brent Carelse volleyed the ball into the back of the Leopards net.
As the game progressed Leopards settled down and they came at the home team, however an alert Westerveld kept his team on the lead with a great save to deny Mabimba. Leopards got their equaliser minutes later when Ramagalela scored when he placed his shot through a wall of Ajax defenders from the edge of the box.
Bouyed by their goal, Leopards got their second when Nkatha headed home from close range to give the visitors the lead in the 36th minute.
Ajax fought back and they were rewarded when Brett Evans cut in from the left flank and fired a curling shot past a diving Omony in goal for Leopards (2 -2), then Ajax took the lead with a goal from Matthew Booth who scored with a trademark header.
The second half followed the same pattern as the first with Ajax enjoying much of the possession, attacking the flanks with Billiat and Lolo firing in the crosses. Manyama came close to increasing the Urban Warriors lead but Omony tipped his shot over the bar then Maluleka’s shot was inches too high.
Leopards shocked Ajax with what seemed to be a late equaliser, Nkatha rose above the Ajax defence to head home (3 – 3).
After the kick-off, the ball was fed to Billiat and the Ajax forward stormed down the left wing into the Leopards penalty area. His cross evaded the visitors defence and Manyama pounced to fire the ball into the roof of the net to secure Ajax a 4-3 win.

Ajax Management should regret for not signing Booth earlier on which would have made a difference on the log standings. Our defence is must more stable and Booth is scoring crucial goals. This remarkable win was a nice Christmas present for the URBAN WARRIORS supporters and will perhaps encourage them to come to the stadium again. AJAX in the house!!!
