taking the game to the Fans

The Urban Warriors are taking their football to the fans in the next few days ahead of the game against Pirates on Friday evening.

Ajax, MTN and adidas are activating a number of events across the City before the game.

On Tuesday, Ajax Cape Town took the game to the people when they trained at the Gugulethu Sports Complex.

Word spread very quickly about the presence of Ajax Cape Town in Gugulethu and soon the complex was packed with fans eager to catch a glimpse of their favourite players.

Not only did the fans catch a glimpse of their favourite players but they  were also given an opportunity to take photographs and get autographs.

On Wednesday, Ajax Cape Town was at the V&A Waterfront Amphitheatre to meet and greet their fans. The team will arrived at the Waterfront immediately after their training session at the Cape Town Stadium.

Before they joined the signing session they enjoyed a scrumptious meal at Primi Piatti.

No sooner had the team settle down when eager fans lining up for their chance to meet the players burst through the gate to get the signing session underway.

Professionals joined school children and mothers in the queue, a keen Dutch supporter also joined the queue to get his Ajax Cape Town shirt signed before rushing off to catch his plane for Amsterdam.

Lucky fans won tickets to the game, Ajax T-shirts and other Ajax merchandise.

The marketing drive continues on Thursday when MTN will host the local media at the Waterfront before they make their way to Black River Parkway where adidas is due to launch their adivan with the Ajax players in attendance.

    a friend and I decided to take our sons (ages 6 and 14) to game. Friday 27 April. arrived at 19:20. situation getting into stadium very chaotic. people would come from back and push us out of line. entered only at 8:15. seats taken up by other people who did not want to leave when asked to do so. security said its not his problem. serious considering not attending future matches.
