Ajax fighting for top8 place

A battle is expected in Bloemfontein on Wednesday evening when Ajax Cape Town play Bloemfontein Celtic at the Free State Stadium.
The Urban Warriors are determined to win this game and show that they are worthy of a place amongst the teams in the top half of the table.
Ajax are buoyed by their performance against the league leaders Orlando Pirates in Cape Town on Friday evening, they controlled long periods of play in the game almost snatching the winner via the boot of Brent Carelse late in the second half.
Maarten Stekelenburg was pleased with his teams’ performance and he is hoping that his players can continue where they left off against Pirates.
Despite recent draw results against Swallows, Wits and Pirates, Ajax have shown a marked improvement in their performances, even their loss against Supersport two weeks ago showed their fighting spirit when despite being a man down for most of the game they held United until the last minutes of the game only conceding via a deflected shot at goal and in the last minute.
Results against Celtic show that Ajax held the upper-hand with a scoreless draw followed by a 2-0 win in Cape Town; tonight the game will be played at the Free State Stadium and this could favour the Urban Warriors who are known to enjoy playing on a bigger pitch to maximise their attacking prowess down the flanks.
Clint Julius started against Pirates and his speed off the mark coupled with his timing for the aerial ball will favour Ajax going forward. Last time out, goals by George Maluleka and Matthew Booth won the game for Ajax and with the support of Terror Fanteni who can sniff out a goal from nothing; they could influence the result of this game.
A win will lift Ajax to sixth position with a match in hand and that game will be played next Wednesday however the Urban Warriors could make their quest to qualify for the MTN easier by bringing home all three points tonight.
While their competitors only have three games left to play, Ajax Cape Town have four and they will do well to win the 12 points available.

Sorry but we dont deserve to be in next years top8,lets give it to a team that deserve to be there and have played with guts and glory because the want to be there and not a team who makes promises and dont deliver. Our players need motivation and confidence, something they have been lacking the whole season!!!!-AJAX FOR LIFE
