Booth stays at Ikamva

George Comitis the Ajax Cape Town CEO has confirmed that the Urban Warriors is exercising their option to extend the contract of Matthew Booth for a further season with an option of a one-year extension.
Booth enjoyed an outstanding season with Ajax Cape Town scoring 5 goals in 17 appearances. Matthew is expected to sign on the dotted line as soon as he returns from a family vacation.
Matthew’s presence and height strengthened Ajax’s defensive aerial power. He played a crucial part in last season’s campaign, not only did he score goals but he made a number of crucial tackles as the last man in the Ajax defence.
Matthew made his Ajax Cape Town debut against Supersport United on November 18, 2011.
Shooz Mekuto said, “Booth’s experience on and off the field has inspired our young players and they will learn a lot from him.”
